Q: You come from Texas and I was wondering if you know Spanish? If you do would you ever consider a role in a Spanish film/tv show?
Skye:Yes and yes. I am in my seventh year of Spanish and would do a Spanish role in a second.

Q: I recently saw walk the line and loved it! Are there any movies youve recently seen that you particularly like?
Skye:I loved that movie too and I loved The Insider.

Q: Was it fun on the set and premiere of The Cider House Rules? And is it fun to work with Erik Per Sullivan?
Skye:That set was great and Erik and I are still good friends. I loved shooting that movie because of where it shot. It was so beautiful there in the snow in Massachusetts.

Q: What inspires you to act?And Do you have any advice for me as an actress?
Skye:I AM INSPIRED BY MY MOM WHO TELLS ME I HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO LEARN MY CRAFT BECAUSE IT IS A GOD GIVEN TALENT. SHE IS AN ACTING TEACHER SO SHE HELPS ME A LOT. ALSO MY ADVICE IS NEVER GIVE UP. ITS A TOUGH BUSINESS AND HARD TO GET A JOB SOMETIMES BUT KEEP AT IT. ALSO GOOD HEADSHOTS HELP.

Q: Do you like watching movies that you've made? What do you think when you see a poster with a picture of you on it? Oh and what is the most embarrasing thing that has happened to you?
Skye:NO I DON'T LIKE TO WATCH MY MOVIES BECAUSE I GET VERY CRITICAL AND PICK APART MY PERFORMANCE.I DON'T REALLY GIVE THE POSTER THING MUCH THOUGHT BUT MY MOM SAVES THAT STUFF. FOR THAT EMBARRASING MOMENT.. I HAD A CRUSH ON A KID IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND THE FIRST THING HE SAID TO ME WAS TO ZIP UP MY ZIPPERR. LOL. NOW THAT WAS EMBARRASING!

Q: I was looking at your website and your pictures. You have pics with Heath Ledger, Mel Gibson, Brittany Murphay, Michael Douglas, Tim Allen, and many more. These are hollywood legends. So out of all the celebrities you have met/worked with etc. [at events, or whatever] out of all of them who were you most starstruck to meet?
Skye: DEFINATELY, JOHNNY DEPP!!

Q: Skye, I am such a huge fan of Hilary Duff & I recently went to one of her concerts. I know she’s originally from Texas so when she is in town there you should go see her. Do you like her?
Skye: I just ran into Hilary not to long ago in the grocery store in Burbank. She had her dog with her and I had mine and she was flipping out laughing at pink Pippa. She kept going 'Shut Up!!!! ....Shut up!!!!!!!! shut up !!!!' My mom was laughing at her saying that. She got soooo thin and it made her look a lot older. I told my mom it was Hilary and she kept saying no that it was Hilary’s mother!! I like her a lot though!!

Q: I know you live in Houston, did Hurrican Rita reach your house? Are you okay? Was any damage done? What happened & what's the after effects [if any]??
Skye: JUST THE WIND RIPPING SOME OF OUR ROOF OFF BUT WE ARE HAPPY THAT IS ALL THAT HAPPENED. WE ARE ALL OK. THE ONLY DAMAGE DONE BESIDES THE ROOF A LOT OF OUR NEIGHBORHOOD HAD A LOT OF FALLEN TREES AND THAT WAS NO FUN!!!! IN THE END IT ALL MAKES YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT WHAT'S IMPORTANT AND IT'S NOT MATERIAL THINGS!!

Q: What is your favorite stores to shop at?
Skye: FRED SEGAL AND M FREDRICK IN LOS ANGELES, AND FOLEYS, MACYS, AND NEIMAN MARCUS. OH AND I LOVE ABERCROMBIE TOO!!

Q: Would you ever try your hand at screenwriting as well as directing one day?
Skye: SOUNDS COOL. MAYBE I WILL.

Q: So Skye, Boogeyman was a hugh success. Are you working on something for the future? And what is going on in your life right now? [the end of August 2005/ beginning of September]?
Skye: I just finished a feature film called Kill My Darlings, and I also finished short film Razor Sharp. Now I am guest starring on CSI and it is so much fun! Next week, I go back to Houston, but first we will visit my grandmother in PA. Then its back to school!!

Q: Earlier you said you have an assistant. What does she do for you?
Skye: TAKES CARE OF MY WEB SITE, SCHEDULE, DEMO TAPES, MAILING, COMES TO THE SET WITH ME, GETS MY TICKETS AND SCHEDULE FOR EVENTS AND THAT KIND OF STUFF

Q: Skye, on the set of Cider House Rules, did you get to meet Charlize Theron? She is my all time fave!
Skye: YES I MET HER. WE WORKED TOGETHER SO, OF COURSE, YOU MEET EVERYONE YOU WORK WITH ON THE SET, AND AT LUNCH AND PARTIES AND STUFF.

Q: Hey Skye. I just saw pictures of you and Trevor Morgan together. Just wondering, how did you guys become friends?
Skye: OUR MOMS ARE THE BEST OF FRIENDS AND WE BECAME CLOSE FRIENDS WHEN WE WORKED ON THE PATRIOT. WE DO HANG OUT A LOT.

Q: I heard Pippa had an accident and lost an eye. What happened to her? Is she fully recovered now?
Skye: MY NEIGHBOR ACCIDENTALLY SLAMMED PIPPA'S HEAD IN MY BROTHERS CAR DOOR WHEN HE WAS CLOSING IT TO GO OUT WITH MY BROTHER. THE DOG JUMPED IN THE CAR AND HE DIDN'T SEE HER. SHE NEARLY DIED AND WE DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW SHE IS LIVING AFTER THAT. SHE BECAME PARALYZED FOR AWHILE AND HER EYE HAD TO BE REMOVED. SHE HAS A PROSTETIC ONE. SHE ALSO WALKS PRETTY CROOKED, BUT SHE IS SO SPOILED SHE DOESN'T REALLY WALK TO MUCH ANYWAY. SHE WILL NEVER BE FULLY RECOVERED BUT WE LOVE HER THIS WAY ANYWAY!!!

Q: Okay, I know this is personal but do you like anybody? Now like in real life like somebody your own age [like Spencer or Erik Per Sullivan or whatever]and who is your dream guy? Like Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt [like a celeb or singer... somebody in Hollywood]?
Skye: HELLO... LIKE A MILLION PEOPLE!!!!!! YEP I LIKE THEM BOTH (Spenc & Erik)!!! LOL AND ON THE DREAM GUY DEFINITELY ORLANDO BLOOM!

Q: Whats your favorite classic, horror, & comedy movies?
Skye: I LOVE THE PINK PANTHER MOVIES AND I LOVE ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S THE BIRDS AND PSYCHO.

Q: What is your favourite food (healthy and non-healthy) and drink?
Skye: Iced tea with lemon and Splenda for sure and food is a tough one because I like so much. I like salads and pizza a lot.

Q: I was just wondering, if you had to pick one movie that was your favorite to make, what would it be and why? And which movie was the most difficult to make and why?
Skye: The Patriot. There were so many people in the cast and so many kids it was like play time all the time. Don't Say A Word was hard to make because it was in the freezing winter. Also Firestarter was hard because with the hard special effects there were a lot of accidents in the set and that was no fun, but I still liked working on those projects.I never mind when they are harder to do...it's all part of it.

Q: Skye, who is your favorite singer?
Skye: Well, my fav singer this week..hmm...I have so many.Well, I am loving Bo and Carrie on American Idol.. they will be super stars!!!

Q: What was Erik Per Sullivan like?
Skye: I loved loved loved working with Erik again. I worked with him in Cider House Rules. He is a doll and we went to Universal Studios together and I had so much fun with him. We also went on these swan paddle boats at a lake. He's a great guy.

Q: Hi Skye I was wondering do you stay in touch with Bryan Chafin and Logan Lerman?
Skye: Nope. Don't stay in touch with either of them. I don't even think Bryan is in the business anymore but I could be wrong.

Q: I've read that you are a fan of the Dixie Chicks - I totally love them! Do you have a fave song of theirs?
Skye: Yep. Some days you gotta dance.

Q: What is your favorite part about being an actress?
Skye: The travel and I love reading scripts and I love working with people really good at their jobs.

Q: I've seen a few movies you were in, and it looks like you film movies with a lot of older people (Michael Douglas, Mel Gibson, Heath Ledger, etc.), so when you're on and off the set and not filming, do you hang out with them a lot? And is it hard to relate to older people when it comes to acting?
Skye: No, I pretty much just hang out with my friends unless they come to dinner or something. No, never. Someties it is much easier because they are such strong actors they make it easy to really feel their character and to play off them.

Q: What was one of the funniest things (like practical jokes and such)that has happened to you on a set?
Skye: When I was doing the Miracle Worker Hilary had to throw a pitcher of water at me. Well, one day the cast filled it to the top with ice water!!! I got soaked. Normally it is filled with just a little bit of warm water.

Q: How do you pronouce your last name? Is it Bar-too-see-ack? Or is it Bar-too-zee-ack?
Skye: The first one BUT some relatives pronounce it the second way.

Q: When you are on the set does your mom act as your wrangler or do you normally have someone who takes you around and watches after you? Also, do you normally have your own trailer?
Skye: I always have my own trailer and my mom is always with me and my assistant usually and my school teacher, but I don't have a "wrangler" that is mostly what they use when they have animals on the set!!! lol Just kiddin'

Q: Hey, I was wondering where you get all of your cool clothes! I love them. I heard they were custom made?!?
Skye: A lot of them are made by Charlene May and a lot of them are made by Sweetheart Jane. Sweetheart Jane you can buy at Fed Segal. Charlene's stuff can be purchased at Fred Segals too and boutique kids stores.

Q: Have you ever met dakota fanning? If so what do you think of her movies etc? Would you like to work with her?
Skye: Yes and she is very nice. I think she is great. Sure..but i'd rather work with Orlando Bloom.lol

Q: Do you speak French? Because in your Toysmart commercial, it sounds as if you are fluent!
Skye: I dont speak French but I speak Spanish. You almost have to in Texas.

Q: Hi Skye, since I'm a big fan of Nicole Kidman, I was wondering...would you like to work with her?
Skye: ARE YOU KIDDING!!!! IN A SECOND!! I LOVE HER!

Q: I just got done watching "Stage Moms" on VH1 and it was showing different parents forcing there kids to be a star, did your parents ever do that to you? Or have you always wanted to be an actress?
Skye: MY MOM IS AN ACTING COACH AND IS A PRODUCER OF A LOCAL SHOW IN HOUSTON SO SHE HAS HER OWN THING GOING ON. I GUESS YOU LIVE WHAT YOU LEARN AND SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN INVOLVED WITH THE ARTS AND I JUST LOVE IT. I CANT IMAGINE DOING ANYTHING ELSE. MY BROTHER USED TO MODEL BUT HE QUIT AND THAT WAS COOL WITH MY PARENTS TOO.

Q: How does your mom usually help you prepare for a difficult emotional scene? (Does she tell you to think about certain things to bring out those intense feelings?)
Skye: We ususally break the character down and study what is called the sub text of the scene.

Q: Hi Skye! What breed of dog is Pippa and how old is she? She is sooooo sweet!
Skye: She is 3 and is a miniature maltese. She has the flu now and coughs. I never knew a dog could cough!!

Q: I just wanted to know how you and your parents feel about you being in movies rated over "PG-13"? Do they not care? Or is there a certain limit to the content of the movies.
Skye: HHMMMM WELL IT CANNOT BE R RATED AROUND ME WHILE I AM FILMING BECAUSE THE LABOR BOARD WONT ALLOW IT. WE DO TURN DOWN A LOT OF PROJECTS AND IF WE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A SCRIPT WE DISCUSS IT. WHEN I DID BLONDE THERE HAD TO BE A LOT OF MEETINGS BECAUSE A LOT OF THAT WAS TOUCHY MATERIAL. LOVE IS A SURVIVOR IS SURE TO BE R RATED BECAUSE OF THE TOUCHY SUBJECT MATTER.

Q: Are you friends with Dakota Fanning, Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen?? Or have you just met them a few times?
Skye: I AM NOT FRIENDS WITH THEM BUT i LIKE THEM AND KNOW THEM. THE OLSEN TWINS ARE A LOT OLDER THAN ME TO BE FRIENDS AND DAKOTA IS A LOT YOUNGER BUT I THINK SHE IS SOO CUTE.

Q: How often do you and your family go on vacations? Where do you go when you do?
Skye: We go a few tmes a year. Since we get to travel with my job so much we get to go a lot of places but we all like going to my grandmothers in PA the best because I have a lot of cool cousins and there is always a lot going on there. Plus since my mom and dad grew up in PA, they visit a lot of their friends they don't get to see all year.

Q: What do you do before you go on the set. E.g. to relax yourself. do you read, watch t.v (if you have one) or do your homework?
Skye: Mostly I have to keep up with schoolwork.

Q: Hey skye! do you email fans? if you do who is your favourite fan to chat with??
Skye: Yes. i answer all my own email. I love hearing from fans in other countries cause they teach me things about their country.

Q: How was it working on the Patriot with all the war scenes and stuff? I know it is not real but was it cool to watch?
Skye: It was sooo much fun. We even helped dress the dummies that played the dead men!!

Q: What's the strangest thing a fan has done for you?
Skye: Put inappropriate pictures on the net!!! That was pretty twisted. The FBI got him though.

Q: Skye do you have any penpals at all? Like over the internet? If so who is your favourite one??
Skye: I love talking to my cousin Anna because she keeps me up on what is going on with my other cousins and family in Pennsylvannia.

Q: I was wondering if you like the movie 'Signs'. Have you ever seen it? It's my favourite movie. Are you also friends with Taylor Momsen and her sister???
Skye: I love the movie signs. I love Rory and Abigail, who is one of my best friends. I am friends with Taylor too. We just did the opening of Mission Space together.

Q: What was it like working with Mel Gibson and Heath Ledger?
Skye: They are just regular people. They are nice. Heath is good to work with because he keeps really good music in his trailer!!

Q: Who was your favourite star to act with and who is the star that you keep in touch with the most?
Skye: I loved working with Brittany Murphy and Conrad Goode, who was the bad guy in Don't Say a Word. I keep in touch with a ton of people I work with. We are with them for so many hours every day and many months in a row so we get really close.
